Satin stitch is a filling stitch that is simple to make and easily fills an area. It’s a beautiful effect. Add an initial layer of satin stitches then a second or even third layer to add dimension to your embroidery.
Make straight stitches close together over the area to be stitched. Keep an even tension on the thread as you make the stitches. The spacing between them should be as even as you can.
