It took me a few years at least to finish Alice.
Now I realize it’s still not quite finished. I forgot the clouds in the background! I will stitch them in and update.
The photo doesn’t quite do the colors fair justice. They are so soft and easy to look at. I have to give credit for the color series I used in this. They come from Trish Burr’s book, Colour confidence in embroidery. It’s an amazing book that’s very useful. It must have taken hours and hours to stitch all the color samples in the book.
The only downside is the same that I struggle with. The colors in the book aren’t quite vivid enough, and it’s hard to tell the difference between certain shade series. However, the colors series are very good, and you only need to pull out threads to see how they vary.
This isn’t my only finish so far! There are two others I will be back with. It isn’t much, but little by little…
