These petals do take a while to make, and I have 15 of them to do. But as you can see in the picture, I am making some progress at least. I hope to be able to start filling them in during the next few days.

So that was a pretty quick, little project to get me back in the swing of stitching again. So now I am ready to move back to the spring wreath I started some weeks ago. There are many petals waiting to be stitched!

Now I have finished the top part of the biscornu. I have started the bottom section, and hopefully the whole thing will be completed this weekend. Then I beleive I shall return to the spring wreath stumpwork project. And somewhere in there I must catch up with the TAST stitches too! So much to do. :) But that's all good!

This weekend I made it out to the botanical gardens. The outdoor flowers have only barely begun to grow, but there are always flowers in the greenhouse! I took a few photos of them. I think they could serve quite nicely as inspiration for som embroidery. I definitely plan to make my way back there soon in any case!

Now I am finally making my way back to my stitching, albeit a little slowly. But don't worry, the stitches will be flowing fast soon enough! I decided to make a soft start and work on a biscornu. It's easy to just pick up here and there and put a few stitches in, plus it's very portable. So I have a very small start, but here it is in any case:

This one is biscornu 442. I thought this was a good time of year for the bees. The weather has been so nice here, it's hard to avoid picking a project that isn't doesn't say spring.

There is still a lack of my own stitching happening, sigh. I may have to just change my project to something a bit simpler and easier for me to handle right now. In the meantime, I believe I shall finally take the opportunity to spotlight some of the stitching that has been sent to the Flickr group. There really are quite a few lovely projects in there now, and I always meant to use the group as a place to draw your pictures from and give you all a bit of well-deserved attention.

And of course, in this unsettled time, I still am managing to work on more patterns... I am now up to 21/50 state maps done! It will take another week or two to finish them all, but when they are completed there will be a pack that has them all available.
